Abstract
The presence of endometrial tissues outside the uterine cavity is known as endometriosis. Villar’s node, also known as umbilical endometriosis, is a rare condition that accounts for 0.5-1% of all extra-pelvic diseases. Electrocautery combined with surgical removal of the umbilical nodule and a recreation of an aesthetically appealing umbilicus is the treatment of choice. The surgical technique of local excision of umbilical endometrioma, neo umbilical reconstruction with four flap technique and post-operative management in low resource settings where plastic surgery facilities are not available have been discussed in the article.
